FAQ
Skin experts recommend that people in their mid-20s to early 30s get BTX treatment to prevent the appearance of frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. BTX treatment for bruxism, or teeth grinding, and face slimming or jaw reduction can be started in early 20s.
Small amounts of BTX are carefully injected into the skin and muscles using very tiny needles. We apply our premium numbing cream before the procedure to ensure that the entire procedure is comfortable and almost pain-free. Depending on the number of target areas, each session usually last for about 15-20 minutes.
The most common side effects of BTX injections are mild swelling, redness, and needle marks. These effects usually subside in a day or two. Bruising may also develop in some patients. For such cases, our doctor will prescribe a skin cream that will speed up the healing of the bruise. Rare side effects include droopy eyelids, eyebrow droop and a crooked smile.
In most cases, it takes about 3-7 days to notice visible results. Maximum results of wrinkle removal treatments become apparent within 2-3 weeks. For jaw reduction, it usually takes 3-4 weeks to see the maximum results.
The results of BTX treatments last for about 4-6 months, depending on the person’s metabolism.
Prior to the treatment, avoid blood thinning medications and alcohol intake to prevent bruising. After the treatment, stay upright and do not lie down for 4-6 hours. For the next 24 hours, avoid touching or massaging the treatment area, alcohol, and strenuous exercise.
