Collagen Stimulators Center Singapore

We gradually lose collagen everyday. Studies show that we start losing collagen as early as 19 years of age. Collagen loss then accelerates in the late 20s and this contributes to facial volume loss and sagging. This has made collagen replacement more important.

Collagen replacement for volume correction is traditionally achieved through hyaluronic fillers, but this could lead to puffy, unnatural, or overfilled appearance over the period of time. To achieve a more natural-looking result, skin experts are now turning their focus to the newest approach for collagen replacement – collagen stimulators.

Collagen Stimulators

Collagen stimulators directly activate the natural production of new collagen reserves in the skin to reverse the visible signs of aging. By targeting the deep layers of the skin, collagen stimulators promote natural tissue renewal and skin remodeling. Compared to the traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, the effects of collagen stimulators are more defined and natural-looking.

The important benefits of collagen stimulators are the following:

Types of Collagen Stimulators

Collagen stimulators approved by the HSA include injectables such as Ellansé, AestheFill, and Juvelook, and energy-based devices such as Thermage FLX.

Ellansé

Ellansé is a very popular collagen stimulator which contains polycaprolactone (PCL), a unique biomedical polymer that activates the natural production of new collagen in the deep layers of the skin. This formulation allows Ellansé to have a dual effect on the skin – immediate facial volume replacement and continuous stimulation of collagen production.

Ellansé is most suitable to treat:

Thermage FLX

Thermage FLX is a non-invasive treatment that uses the patented Monopolar Capacitive Radiofrequency (RF) technology to deliver heat in a safe and uniform manner into the skin layers. The safe amount of heat from Thermage FLX targets the deep skin layers to stimulate the production of new collagen. The new collagen improves skin laxity, resulting in immediate skin tightening and smooth contouring of the skin.

Thermage FLX is designed to give you:

Juvelook

Juvelook is the latest addition to the collagen stimulators in Singapore. Juvelook is a collagen skinbooster that contains Poly D-Lactic Acid (PDLA) which helps to reverse the signs of aging. Juvelook directly boosts collagen production in your skin and maintains this effect for up to 6 months.

At Om Aesthetics, we have designed a treatment plan that precisely combines Juvelook, Polynucleotides, Radiofrequency Microneedling and Pico Fractional laser to achieve a significant improvement of acne scars and reveal a smooth, glowing skin.

The following are the main benefits of Juvelook:

AestheFill

AestheFill is a new generation collagen stimulating dermal filler. The main component of AestheFill is PDLLA (Poly-D-L-Lactic Acid), a biocompatible substance that naturally stimulates skin cells to regenerate their own collagen. By activating the production of new collagen, AestheFill adds natural volume to the target areas of the face, resulting in a firmer, healthier, and younger-looking appearance.

AestheFill effectively targets the following concerns:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

Collagen stimulators are safe for most individuals when administered by licensed and experienced aesthetic doctors. Injectable collagen stimulators are formulated with active biocompatible substances that work with the natural processes in the body. These collagen stimulators do not disrupt any biological processes.

Nevertheless, it is highly recommended that you consult with our aesthetic doctor who will carefully assess your compatibility with each collagen stimulator treatment. Note that as with other injectable treatments, safety has not been defined in pregnant, lactating, or breastfeeding patients.

While injectable collagen stimulators could be easily confused with dermal fillers, these two skin treatments are not the same.

Dermal fillers are intended to replace volume and fill in specific skin areas of the face for contouring or anti-aging purposes.

Collagen stimulators, on the other hand, directly activates the natural collagen production in the skin to naturally replace the lost volume in areas of the face and reverse the visible signs of skin aging.

You may notice continuous improvement of your skin through time, during the natural course of collagen synthesis in your skin. Visible changes in your skin are usually notable a few weeks after your treatment, with noticeable significant improvement within 2 months. The results can last up to 2 to 4 years, depending on the type of collagen stimulator.

In general, the components of collagen stimulators are compatible with the skin and are readily absorbed by the body. Similar with other injectable treatments, some patients may experience minor side effects such as redness, warmth, bruising, and tiny bumps around the injection area. These are temporary and will resolve in a few days.

The downtime for collagen stimulator treatments is very minimal and you can resume your regular activities within 1 to 2 days after your treatment session.
