What is Ellansé?
Ellanse is a potent collagen bio-stimulating fillers, also known as 少女针 (in Mandarin). Ellansé contains polycaprolactone (PCL), a unique biomedical polymer that simultaneously reduces wrinkles and fine lines, restores facial volume, and actively stimulates collagen production.
The PCL microspheres are suspended in a carrier gel composed of Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC). This formulation has long-lasting effects on the skin. Both PCL and CMC can be naturally broken down into smaller components which can easily be absorbed and eliminated by the body. Ellansé provides instant, visible results after session.
How does Ellansé work?
Polycaprolactone, the active component of Ellansé, stimulates the natural production of new collagen in the deep layers of the skin. Collagen plays a major role in maintaining the structure and elasticity of the skin, thus making the skin look young, fresh, and healthy. Low collagen levels in the skin results in the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. As polycaprolactone activates the natural process of collagen synthesis, it restores your skin’s integrity and youthful look. Meanwhile, Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC), which is the carrier gel of Ellansé, restores volume by instantly filling up areas with volume loss.
Ellansé is a long-lasting filler that can last for up to 4 years. The bioabsorbable feature of Ellansé allows it to be slowly absorbed by the body through time. As Ellansé is gradually absorbed into your system, what is left in your skin is your own collagen network, which was produced with the help of polycaprolactone.

Dr Neil Pawar
Dr. Neil graduated from the esteemed Grant Medical College in 2010 with first-class honours in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Ever since studying medicine, Dr. Neil has always been passionate about aesthetics and anti-aging treatments. After graduating from medical school, he was awarded a full scholarship to pursue a research fellowship in New York, USA. He focused on the study of Alzheimer’s Disease and other aging-related diseases. Through his research studies, Dr. Neil gained a deep understanding of the pathology of aging-related diseases and the therapeutic modalities that alleviate the impacts of such diseases. His fellowship also further strengthened his passion for the field of aesthetics and anti-aging medicine.
Dr. Neil is one of the very few to be accredited with a Board Certification in Aesthetic Medicine by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine in Singapore. He has obtained all his national aesthetic certificates of competence to perform aesthetic procedures from the National Skin Center, Singapore.
To further advance his understanding of skin-related topics and aesthetic techniques, Dr. Neil undertook a Graduate Diploma in Dermatology at the Queen Mary University of London, where he graduated with a Distinction. He also received rigorous clinical training in aesthetic medicine from expert dermatologists and plastic surgeons from Korea, the USA, and Europe. He keeps his medical practice up-to-date by regularly attending international conferences and workshops on the emerging technologies and procedures in aesthetic medicine. With his notable experience and involvement in clinical practice and research, he has published extensively in several peer-reviewed journals.
Today, Dr. Neil is known for being an expert in delivering natural results through his precise and artistic approach to aesthetic procedures. He specializes in all face lifting and face slimming procedures and has developed his own combination protocols to get effective results. The Ellansé dermal filler treatment has minimal downtime. You can resume to your regular activities after treatment but you must avoid hot baths and strenuous activities for at least 24 hours. You should also avoid exposure to the sun and UV light for one week after your treatment session.
Just one session is needed.
Ellase has 4 types and the longevity depends on the type of product used:
- Ellanse S: Longevity of 1 year. Recommended for beginners
- Ellanse M: Longevity of 2 years. Most commonly used in Singapore.
- Ellanse L: Longevity of 3 years.
- Ellanse E: Longevity of 4 years.

On top of that doctor will mix Ellanse with a local anesthetic agent which makes the entire procedure more comfortable. The treatment procedure for Ellansé dermal filler is a safe, simple, and minimally invasive process. An ultrafine needle or cannula is used to inject the recommended amounts of Ellansé into your skin. The process is virtually not painful, but it is also possible that you experience minimal discomfort.
Ellanse has a very good safety profile and occurrence of side effects varies per patient. You may experience mild redness and swelling after 1-2 days. In general, the Ellansé dermal filler is safe as it is compatible with the skin and is readily absorbed by the body.
