Skinboosters
Skinboosters, also known as 水光针 (in Mandarin), are formulated with high amounts of hyaluronic acid which enhance skin hydration, maintain moisture, and activate collagen synthesis for that young-looking, healthy skin.
How do skinboosters work?
Wrinkles, fine lines, dull skin, and darks spots on the face can be caused by the loss of hyaluronic acid deposits in the deeper layers of the skin. Stress also contributes to these signs of skin aging, as excessive oxidative stress results in cell damage and brittle skin.
Skinboosters resolve these skin concerns by nourishing the skin with the high concentration of hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, amino acids, and other nutrients. Hyaluronic acid functions like a sponge that absorbs water to help the skin stay moisturized, plump, and glowing. The antioxidants prevent oxidative stress, thereby reducing cell damage. The essential nutrients in skinboosters promote collagen production to restore the integrity and balance of the skin.

At Om, we use the RD1 skinbooster, which gives a dewy glow as well as hydration and collagen stimulation. RD1 skin boosters can be used on face, neck, decolletage area and hands. RD1 is manufactured in Switzerland. It contains 15 mg/mL of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid and is a unique skinbooster, as it contains following myriads of nutrients which are beneficial for skin:
- Antioxidant:
- Glutathione: It’s a key ingredient for skin whitening. It neutralizes free radicals and prevents damage to vital cellular components.
- N-Acetyl-L-cysteine: It is vital for the synthesis of glutathione
- Alphalipoic acid: Enhances the production and lifespan of Glutathione.
- Zinc and Copper: Vital for cell division and DNA synthesis.
- Vitamin B6: Vital for energy production for chemical reactions required for metabolism in skin.
- 8 Amino acids: Vital for collagen production and tissue remodeling
This mixture of skin-boosting essential nutrients hydrates and rejuvenates the skin unlike any other skincare treatment.
Apart from RD1, other skinbooster is also available at Om, which has 12mg/mL of partially cross-linked hyaluronic acid.
Skinboosters are a minimally invasive and safe treatment that is almost painless. To make the procedure more comfortable, we apply our premium numbing cream onto the patient’s skin. Skinboosters are then administered either via an injector gun or through a manual injection, depending on your preference. The manual technique is preferred over the injector gun as it gives better results, ensures that most of skinboosters are administered into the skin, and can be modified per the patient’s conditions.
Treatment with skinboosters typically require 3 sessions scheduled 4 weeks apart. From then on, maintenance treatment can be done every 6 months.
After the session, you may notice tiny bumps and needle marks, which usually resolve spontaneously in 2-3 days. Some patients may have minor bruising which resolves in a few days.

Dr Neil Pawar
Dr. Neil graduated from the esteemed Grant Medical College in 2010 with first-class honours in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Ever since studying medicine, Dr. Neil has always been passionate about aesthetics and anti-aging treatments. After graduating from medical school, he was awarded a full scholarship to pursue a research fellowship in New York, USA. He focused on the study of Alzheimer’s Disease and other aging-related diseases. Through his research studies, Dr. Neil gained a deep understanding of the pathology of aging-related diseases and the therapeutic modalities that alleviate the impacts of such diseases. His fellowship also further strengthened his passion for the field of aesthetics and anti-aging medicine.
Dr. Neil is one of the very few to be accredited with a Board Certification in Aesthetic Medicine by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine in Singapore. He has obtained all his national aesthetic certificates of competence to perform aesthetic procedures from the National Skin Center, Singapore.
To further advance his understanding of skin-related topics and aesthetic techniques, Dr. Neil undertook a Graduate Diploma in Dermatology at the Queen Mary University of London, where he graduated with a Distinction. He also received rigorous clinical training in aesthetic medicine from expert dermatologists and plastic surgeons from Korea, the USA, and Europe. He keeps his medical practice up-to-date by regularly attending international conferences and workshops on the emerging technologies and procedures in aesthetic medicine. With his notable experience and involvement in clinical practice and research, he has published extensively in several peer-reviewed journals.
Today, Dr. Neil is known for being an expert in delivering natural results through his precise and artistic approach to aesthetic procedures. He specializes in all face lifting and face slimming procedures and has developed his own combination protocols to get effective results. He also attends to patients for various other aesthetic procedures such as nose augmentation, chin sculpting, face fillers, face/body slimming procedures, and various laser procedures.
