Thermage FLX

What is Thermage FLX?

Aging accelerates the breakdown of collagen in our skin, resulting in more obvious fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. Thermage FLX effectively targets these marks of skin aging by activating the synthesis of new collagen in the skin.

The Thermage FLX in Singapore is the latest innovation of non-invasive radiofrequency treatment for skin aging. A non-surgical procedure, the treatment of thermage in Singapore gives a natural, tightening effect on the skin of the face, neck, eyes, arms, hands, tummy, buttocks, and thighs without the need for surgery or injectables. Compared to the earlier versions of Thermage FLX is specifically designed to deliver faster results, minimize discomfort during the procedure, and provide accurate treatment for fine lines and wrinkles.

How does Thermage FLX work?

Thermage FLX utilizes radiofrequency energy to safely heat the deep skin layers, which contain rich amounts of collagen. The heat generated by radiofrequency causes the collagen to contract and stimulate the production of new collagen. The new collagen augments the existing collagen and improves skin laxity, resulting in immediate tightening and smooth contouring of the skin.

What are the benefits of Thermage FLX?

The benefits of Thermage FLX include:

Immediate, visible results even just after your 1st session

Non-surgical face lift

Minimal downtime and risk

Little to no discomfort during the procedure

Accurate targeting of sensitive (i.e., around the eyes) and hard-to-reach areas

Natural collagen production upon activation with radiofrequency energy

FAQ

During the procedure, the Thermage FLX treatment tip will be placed against your skin. You will feel a brief cooling effect, followed by a brief heating sensation, and finally another brief cooling effect. The deep heating effect is essential in activating the collagen reserves in the deepest layers of your skin. You will also feel a gentle vibrating sensation throughout the procedure. The vibration is meant to reduce your discomfort during the cooling and heating cycles. To further ensure that you are comfortable during the treatment, your doctor will ask you from time to time if you feel any discomfort, particularly on the level of heat sensation.

  • If you are planning to get injectables, Thermage FLX should be performed one month before or one month after your injectable treatment.
  • No downtime is required after your Thermage FLX treatment. You may proceed with your regular activities and you may apply makeup or shower without any problems.
  • It is highly recommended that you use sunscreen to protect your skin from any sun damage after your Thermage FLX treatment.

For most patients, a single Thermage FLX treatment session can already result in immediate improvement of your skin’s appearance. Subsequent treatment sessions may be required for maintenance of results.

You may notice continuous improvement of your skin through time, during the natural course of collagen synthesis in your skin. Significant improvement of the skin starts to become noticeable 2 to 6 months after your first Thermage FLX treatment session. Results can last up to 12 months, but this may vary depending on your specific skin condition and aging progression.
